Q. Where's my hold?

I placed a hold a while ago but it's still not ready. What happened?

Materials requests among all Westchester libraries were reactivated in early July, so we are now fulfilling hold requests regardless of owning library. 

If you notice that items are "in transit" for longer than usual, it's because we're keeping material in quarantine for 4 days before we handle them.

Some materials are in higher demand than others, resulting in longer wait times. You can view your hold status by logging into your library card account and clicking On Hold in the upper right corner of the screen. For best service, set your notification preference to email.

Should you need further assistance, you may contact library staff via Live Chat on our home page from 10am - 1pm and 2 - 4pm Monday through Saturday. After hours, your question will be submitted electronically and will be addressed the next business day.
